Rochelle is a performer and teacher of music, singing and dance. She is currently preparing for AMusA level exams in 3 instruments and high level dance exams. She is never content to just rest on her past achievements, and is constantly improving her performance and knowledge in music and dance. That is what makes her such an outstanding teacher, and gives her students a real edge when they are preparing for exams and performances.
She has been a music teacher in piano, guitar, singing and violin since 1995. She also teaches harp and recorder. When you start with Rochelle, you or your child can explore any of those instruments or just study one intensively. Piano is always the first recommendation for an instrument for a child. The research says that children should start music tuition no earlier than 7 years of age. Any earlier and we know there are health risks including arthritis and vocal cord damage for singers. As a mother of three musicians, Rochelle understands how important it is for children and young people to be supported in their music studies and how important it is for music teachers to be able to communicate with young people and children, as well as adults.
